Day 1: Discover Melbourne

Your day begins when we meet at the APT Travel Center at Federation Square at 8:10 am and explore what makes Melbourne the “most livable city in the world”.
See Captain Cook’s Cottage, Queen Victoria Market, Fitzroy Gardens and Albert Park, home to the Australian Grand Prix. Stroll the Royal Botanic Gardens, see the Royal Exhibition Buildings and Federation Square. Visit the Shrine of Remembrance and see the Southbank waterfront precinct. See some of the city’s architecture including St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Princess and Regent theatres. Cross the Bolte Bridge for great city views. Your tour concludes at the APT Travel Centre at approximately 12:00 pm. Evening: 2022 Australian Open evening session – Attend the third round of the 2022 Australian Open. You can walk by river or take the tram to Melbourne Park. Enjoy the evening session with reserved seats in Margaret Court Arena, access to all outside courts (excluding Rod Laver Arena) and activities going on in Melbourne Park.
Day 2: Day & Evening Sessions

Spend the day watching some of the best tennis players in the world compete for the title!
Take the tram or a nice walk along the river to Melbourne Park. Enjoy the day and evening sessions of the 2022 Australian Open with reserved seats in Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne Arena and non-reserved seats to all outside courts (excluding Margaret Court Arena) and all activities going on in Melbourne Park.
Day 3: More of the Australian Open

Catch more of the action from your reserved seats in Rod Laver Arena during the day session.
Take the tram or a nice walk along the river to Melbourne Park. Enjoy the day session of the 2022 Australian Open with reserved seats in Rod Laver Arena and non-reserved seats to all outside courts (excluding Margaret Court Arena) and all activities going on in Melbourne Park. The evening is yours to explore this great city! Ask your guide for some suggestions on where to go, what to eat and see!
Day 4: Your Last Day in Melbourne

Today’s your free day to enjoy all Melbourne has to offer! This gorgeous city has endless possibilities when it comes exploring the city. Maybe even catch a glimpse of a kangaroo!
We have left this day open for you to decide on how you want to spend your last day in Melbourne. There are lots of options: return with us for another day at Melbourne Park and the Australian Open; take one of many wonderful tours like the Great Ocean Road Tour or a Wine Experience; enjoy the sights and sounds of Melbourne or just relax and soak in the memories of being in the land down under!
Day 5: Travel from Melbourne to Cairns

The next leg of the trip heads up north to Cairns and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: The Great Barrier Reef. The trip continues with the included transfer from your hotel in Melbourne to the airport. Next, we’ll arrive in Cairns to begin our 3 day/2 night adventure in one of Australia’s most famous places.
Day 6: Michaelmas Cay Day Cruise

Set sail aboard our sailing catamaran and visit a natural and pristine sand cay, which is Michaelmas Cay.
Exploring the reef with Ocean Spirit Cruises will be the most memorable day of your life. The day is then yours to explore. The Michaelmas Cay Cruise offers a wide range of activities including snorkelling, scuba diving (both certified and first time beginner), semi-submersible coral viewing, coral cay scientific tours, nature walks among a bird sanctuary, live musical entertainment and a glass of champagne on the homeward sail. A 9 to 1 passenger to crew ratio ensures a 5 star service is delivered to all guests. Lunch is included.
Day 7: Travel from Cairns to Sydney

A week into the trip and you’ll be headed to beautiful harbourfront city of Sydney!
Your departure begins with a transfer from your hotel in Cairns to the airport. Upon your arrival to Sydney you’ll have a transfer to your hotel for the next 3 nights.
Day 8: The Infamous Sydney Opera House

The Essential Tour takes you on a journey through the extraordinary history and architecture of the Sydney Opera House.
On your first full day in Sydney, see what goes on inside Australia’s most famous building. Get a brief overview of the Australian performing arts scene, including details of the current Sydney Opera House performances. Once the tour is complete you’ll have the day to explore one of Australia’s most famous cities.
Day 9: Travel from Sydney to Auckland

Time to hop from one beautiful part of the South Pacific to another! Transfer to airport. Depart Sydney. Arrive Auckland. Transfer from airport to hotel.

Day 10: Explore Auckland

Learn about the city’s history and discover the spectacular scenery on this introductory half day tour of Auckland.
You’ll visit Auckland City’s oldest park, the Auckland Domain and explore Parnell, a historical village transformed into boutiques, cafes and antique shops. Take in the panoramic views over Auckland from Mt Eden. Then travel over Auckland’s Harbour Bridge, past the Viaduct Harbour and along Tamaki Drive for stunning waterfront views. Visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum and enjoy a cultural experience from local Maori performers. Starts at 11.30am and concludes at leisure (shuttle returns to city center)
Day 11: Depart Auckland
